Game Booth started out as a small hobby, a Twitter page to interact with gamers, developers and YouTubers. The more I watched people on YouTube, the more I wanted to get involved.
Being a big fan of video games from childhood and now being over 30 years old, I decided it was time to finally get involved and invested more into one of my favourite hobbies. I started out really small, setting up a YouTube channel and broadcasting my first couple of streams from my PS4 with its built-in capabilities and no microphone.
I then won an all-in-one PC from work in a competition, followed closely by an LG G5 mobile phone, meaning that I no longer had to rely on my 9 year-old second-hand netbook as my main source of acquiring music and any other software I needed. At this point, when streaming, I was still using the PS4 in the living room.
Fast-forward to October 2016 and the wife and I moved house. This came as a great benefit for me as going from a 2-bed to 3-bed house meant that I was allowed to get myself a games room set up in the new house, purely to play games and with the aim of continuing and expanding my YouTube and social presence. My wife was happy as it meant she didn't have to put up with me constantly being sat in the living room and hogging the TV!
The end result of the game room set up can be found here.
Now I'm lucky enough to have my games room set up exactly how I like it, I've bought a good desk and some bookcases to show off my consoles, games and merchandise to my friends and, with the help of my wife and her dad, have got the room decorated exactly how I like it.
Sadly, budget issues and working a full-time job in a call centre mean that I don't have quite as much money and time to invest as I would like but, rest assured, I will get as much into this for you all as I possibly can.
